Interview request for WP:Signpost newspaper

[edit]

Previously I interviewed participants at different WikiProjects. You can read 3 of my interviews about WikiProjects Israel/Palestine, News and Organized Labour. Concerning this project, the only other related interview was in 2013 covering WikiProject South Africa. I would request interview participants here. In addition to interview format, I would try to provide an overview of the history/contributions of the WikiProject, its country level division of task-forces and perhaps relation to the regional user groups of Wikmedia. I can imagine a realistic deadline of November/December, since this is a larger topic. Do you think this scope makes sense and would be interesting? ~ 🦝 Shushugah (he/him • talk) 14:07, 17 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Recreation of African portals

[edit]

Hello, 5 years ago a bunch of portals for African countries were deleted due to poor maintenance. As I noticed that consensus was to keep Portals for sub national entities of rich White countries with a population a fraction of a fraction of deleted countries (kept with a population under 100,000, deleted with a population over 10 MILLION) I am concerned of this being an example of systemic bias on the part of Wikipedia. If somebody could properly maintain African portals, I believe they would be a net positive for Wikipedia. Cheers, -1ctinus📝🗨 18:56, 17 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@1ctinus, you made a good point, but the problem is: is there any person/s willing to maintain them? I also strongly do not support the deletion of African portals (even though I wasn't then when it happened). Safari ScribeEdits! Talk! 21:34, 29 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Help at Cuisine of Réunion

[edit]

Hi, crossposting this both here and at WT:FOOD. I wanted to get Cuisine of Réunion in view of WPAfrica/French Africa work group, as it is not currently, and needs extensive help with sources and citations. Thanks, Sarsenet (talk) 10:15, 2 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This stub hasn’t been sourced yet in 15 years. The Swahili article has no citations. Can you please fix this? Bearian (talk) 01:42, 10 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I sourced the English language article, although it is still only two sentences long. Pliny the Elderberry (talk) 01:25, 14 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'm trying to find sources, but they say this is a place, not an article of clothing. Can we please fix this? Bearian (talk) 16:18, 11 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Mutau has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unreferenced and unimproved 15 years. No sources on the Fulfulde article, either. Run of the mill, very small village. Not enough information to merge.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Bearian (talk) 20:31, 13 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This is obviously notable. Please find sources. Bearian (talk) 10:26, 15 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
