Spelling error on edit-limited page. In the article on Autism, intro paragraphs, please change "austistic" to "autistic".

Suggestion: Cut "treatment" text and direct to Autism therapies

[edit]

The whole section on treatment here doesn't fit with a page focused on "high-functioning autism," a historic and now-widely-discourage term. This page should focus on that term/concept, not on Autism generally. I think the treatment section here needs to go and readers should be directed to the Autism therapies, which, unlike this page, should be kept update with scientific advances. Any ojections? I agree. This entry should cover the term & its history. Everything about autism more broadly should be omitted. However, if there are certain "treatments" or comorbidities that were specifically studied in the context of HFA or are otherwisee connected to the term, that should be reported.--TempusTacet (talk) 18:58, 1 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I second TempusTacet's opinion. ---Avatar317(talk) 01:12, 5 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds good to me. Thanks. Monkeywire (talk) 01:38, 5 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
